IHCC SMGA By-Laws Modification Voting Form
The Board is recommending the following modification to our by-laws. The change involves eligibility for our annual club championship. This change was debated for two months at our board meetings. As you know we have been struggling to get entries in our tournaments. This year we had our lowest number of entries in our club championship with only 59 of our 218 members signing up to play. We interviewed a lot of the people who did not play and our proposed by law change reflects a lot of the comments I heard. The change opens the club championship to all dues paying members who have an active USGA handicap .

If you agree with the change, please vote by selecting the "approve" button. If you do not agree with the change, select the "disapprove" button. After your selection is made select your name from the Voter list and depress "VOTE" button. Your vote will automatically be recorded and tabulated.
The revised section would be ammended to read as follows:
"VII. Tournaments C. The SMGA Club Championship shall be open to all SMGA members in good standing who have an active USGA handicap at the time the tournament is conducted. The tournament shall be conducted annually. Once entries reach the predetermined field size, a waiting list will be created. If cancellation(s) are received priority on that waiting list, at the time of the cancellation, will be given in order to the person(s) who have played the most SMGA playdays (Wednesday and Friday). Ties will be decided by lot.
